Custom servers have been ion's focus since the "server" category emerged from big PCs on their side in the 1990s. ion builds 2-socket models supporting up to 128 5th Generation Intel® Xeon® Scalable Processor cores, 4TB of RAM and 24 hot swap SAS / SATA / NVMe drive bays with I/O flexibility for any application. 1U and 2U rackmount servers have always been ion's focus with almost 4000 sold.
